Other Scriptural Help

Do you want the government or the majority telling you who you can and cannot marry and what kind of family you can or cannot have?

The Golden Rule

“Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12;
3 Nephi 14:12

How would you feel if others tried to pass a law forbidding temple marriage because they don’t understand it or believe in it?

Is legislatively discriminating against them good? Is taking away freedom doing good to anyone? Is denying them the same civil rights and protections you enjoy good, kind or loving? Is depriving them of marriage and family good?

“We believe… in doing good to all men”
Article of Faith 13

Do you believe “all men” includes your Gay and Lesbian neighbors?

If traditional anti-homosexual interpretations of Bible scriptures are true, why don’t the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants or Pearl of Great Price confirm those traditional Biblical interpretations?

“These last records, which thou hast seen among the Gentiles shall establish the truth of the first, which are of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from them…” 1 Nephi 13:40

  Fact: Gays and Lesbians today are fighting for the exact same things that Captain Moroni, the Nephites and the Stripling warriors fought for. “And now the design of the Nephites was...that they might preserve their rights and their privileges, yea, and also their liberty..., their homes... their families...their freedom from bondage” see Alma 43:9, 45, 47, 48. Since marriage and family are such rich and cherished blessings and are vital to society, personal happiness and well being; why would any true Christian seek to deny such blessings from any of God’s children?
